Singular-Plural

"When there's only one animal, you say ANIMAL.  When there's many animals, you say ANIMALS"

Most of the time he knows how to use singular-plural words correctly and past-present-future tenses correctly. But sometimes, he also gets things mixed up.  For example:

"If there's one people, you say PEOPLE.  If there's many people, you say PEOPLES."
"He was funny and I laugh-ted!"

We correct him and then he will say the same thing again and will laugh.  And we all laugh-ted!
